Hi Everyone,
I have been thinking a lot about our world today. Even though the earth is so big, it always seems like people view the world as their small little bubble that they interact in. People always seem to neglect the issues that are happening. Especially with social media today, people start to become more and more concerned with artificial things. This can become so real that people can start to think that the whole world revolves around their iPhone or computer.
It used to be that when most people get home they would turn on the news or maybe read the paper. Now most people turn on MTV or check their Facebook. This isn't a bad thing, it just causes a big disconnect between everyone. In general, social media's main purpose was to bring people to information easier, yet now its evolving into something new. Especially with our generation, a lot of people our becoming less and less interested with everything else that doesn't have to do with the best dressed on the worst dressed on the red carpets. So if it were up to me and there could be a "revolution" of some sort, I guess it would be to get teens to be more aware of current events, and keep in mind the idea of just how big the world really is. This could be achieved peacefully without any type of violent protest. Overall I just want people to see all of the great little things that you would ignore because their eyes were glued to their phones. So just take a moment, look up, and see the world around you.
